Quick Thoughts
An 11% cashback rate at so many retailers is excellent and in many cases offers the highest rate of any cashback portal. For example, an 11% rate for Overstock.com is double the highest rate you’ll get elsewhere…
…and the 11% through Ebates is marginally higher for Macy’s than you’ll get elsewhere.
As always though, it pays to compare rates on Cashback Monitor to ensure you’ll be getting the highest rate. For example, you can get a slightly higher rate at Bloomingdale’s through a couple of other portals.
It’s worth paying attention to the airline shopping portals when comparing rates too. Most of the airline portals are offering spending bonuses at the moment, so you might get a better return when taking those into account.
Similarly, it’s also worth comparing the rates to the credit card portals, particularly the Chase portal. For example, they’re currently offering 6x Ultimate Rewards at Macy’s, so if you value UR at greater than 1.83cpp, you’ll get a better return by clicking through from the Chase portal than Ebates.
Don’t forget that many of these retailers are also earning 5% this quarter when paying with a Chase Freedom or Discover card.
