Getting Off My Soapbox (Derby) – Improv Travel With Stephen #StayCayToFarAway

Improv Travel was the #StayCayToFarAway task I was looking forward to the least. I’m not always great with thinking on my feet quickly, so a challenge that required just that skill didn’t bode well for me.

Similar to Nick, I tried to prepare beforehand by having a bunch of props on hand. Toilet paper, party hat, remote, medicine, sidewalk chalk, scissors, dog poop bag and lots more besides – what more could I need?!

As it turns out, I needed none of that. Well, maybe I did, but I couldn’t come up with any ways to fit that in once Nick’s video started.

I’d even tried to preempt the photos Nick might have used. Knowing that he’d enjoyed a safari in the past, I figured those might have been the photos he’d use. I grabbed a growler from the fridge to make some kind of lion/growler pun, but sadly there were no lions where he took me.

I’d also hoped to have a trusty helper, but apart from the quick intro, Truffles was more interested with me throwing her toys while I was recording the video than she was about appearing on screen.

Without further ado, here’s my entry to the Improv Travel challenge. And please forgive my mid-video brainfart where I couldn’t think of the term ‘Soapbox Derby’.
