Giant / Stop & Shop / Martin’s: Buy $100 in select GCs, get $15 off next order

Supermarket chains Giant, Stop & Shop, and Martin’s have a deal that’s live from today (8/9/19) through 8/22/19: Buy $100 in select gift cards, get $15 off your next shopping order. Assuming you’d ordinarily buy $15 in groceries, that’s a very good deal for some of the included brands.

The Deal

  • Get $15 off your next shopping order when you buy $100 in select gift cards. Selection may vary, but may include:
    • iTunes
    • Starbucks
    • Domino’s
    • Happy cards
    • Barnes & Noble
    • Xbox
    • Home Depot
    • Bed, Bath & Beyond
    • Sak’s Fifth Avenue
    • Kohl’s
    • TJ Maxx

Key Details

  • Valid 8/9/19 – 8/22/19

Quick Thoughts

If you are able to get this deal at a store where you ordinarily do your grocery shopping and you value the $15 off coupon at face value, you could look at it as getting 13% off ($15 off of $115). The math is a bit dubious there, but it’s certainly a decent deal for some brands.

The exact offering may vary by store, so see your local ad to know which brands are included. According to Doctor of Credit, some stores are alternatively offering 5x fuel points. Either way, if you’re stacking the deal with a card that earns one of the best category bonuses at US Supermarkets, you should come out comfortably ahead.

Hi Nick,
Can you share your source on this? I recommended it to a family member (without trying it myself first) and they tried it at a Giant store today (8/12) and did not get a credit/rebate/coupon. Furthermore, in-store customer service said they were unaware of the promotion.
Thanks, Greg (no affiliation with the Frequent-Miler Greg)
