Update 12/5/19: republishing this as I just noticed that quite a few very useful properties properties have been added in recent weeks, including the Hyatt Place New York Times Square, the new all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic (which hasn’t gotten rave reviews initially, but I imagine will improve) and a few Park Hyatt properties. It’s worth checking the list periodically for new properties added. (H/T: Loyalty Lobby)
Hyatt is offering an extra 500 bonus points at select properties for stays between May and July or August 2019 (dates vary a bit by property). From the promotion landing page, it sounds like Hyatt intends to update the list periodically. It’s always great to earn some extra points, but this one could be especially nice since it should stack with the
current Hyatt promotion good for 1,000 bonus points per night (plus 500 extra for Hyatt Place / Hyatt House) (since expired) if you have a stay that lines up with the dates for both promotions.
- Get 500 bonus Hyatt points for each qualifying night when you stay at select Hyatt properties
- No need to register (bonus points post automatically)
- Check back on the promo page for new additions
- Direct link to this promotion
- Both paid and free night awards count
- Stacks with other promotions
- Checkout date must be during the offer period
- Allow 3-4 weeks after travel is completed for bonus points to post
At debut, there were only 9 properties participating in this deal, so it was of limited use unless you happened to be fortunate enough to have upcoming travel planned to one of those nine destinations. However, the promo has since expanded quite a bit and the page is worth checking periodically.
That said, if you do, this could make for a nice stack. There are a couple of Hyatt Place / Hyatt House locations on the list where this promo is valid from May 1, 2019 to July 31, 2019. That means this promo would line up with the current promotion good for 1,000 points back per night plus 500 additional points for Hyatt House and Hyatt Place properties. By stacking those things, you could earn up to 2,000 points back per night in addition to whatever points you would otherwise earn (expired). Furthermore, you should be able to get those points back on award stays as well, so this makes for a nice deal any way you slice it.
While 500 extra points per night wouldn’t be enough to get me to pick one of these nine properties if I had no plans to visit otherwise, it’s nice to earn extra points without needing to register and in addition to whatever else you are able to find and stack. We’ll have to keep our eye on the promo page as more places are added.
We’ve added this to our list of current hotel promotions.
