Quick Thoughts
Refurbished Kitchenaids come with a 6-month warranty, so you’ll want to consider buying with a credit card that doubles the manufacturer’s warranty. That said, not all cards will cover refurbished items. I thought that Amex did cover refurbs, but I couldn’t remember for sure and had to look it up. I couldn’t find specific language in the policy and I found at least one datapoint of a denial on a refurbed item, so YMMV — it’s worth looking up your card’s policy before you buy.
The Pro line includes metal gears and new models typically sell for $350+. This is a very good price if you’re looking to own this. I’ve bought and sold these many times in the past and I think there’s even room on this for resale if you’re selling locally (albeit not a ton – mostly good for helping to meet minimum spend while making a small profit).
