Kroger has released a couple of new digital coupons that are offering 4x fuel points. One is valid on all third party gift cards and the other is for fixed value Visa and Mastercard gift cards. Both of these are only valid for this coming weekend though (November 1-3).

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Offer valid November 1-3, 2019.
  • Excludes variable load Visa and Mastercard gift cards.

Quick Thoughts

Although you can load these digital coupons to your Kroger Plus account immediately, they’re only valid for purchases made from November 1-3, 2019. The nice thing about that is that it means that the fuel points that you earn won’t expire until the end of the year, giving you plenty of time to use them up. That’s because Kroger fuel points expire at the end of the month after the month you earned them.

Kroger fuel points can be used to save up to $1 per gallon on up to 35 gallons. If you can refill your gas tank(s) to that 35 gallon limit, you’ll be saving 14% if you earned those fuel points buying third party gift cards. The fixed value Visa and Mastercard gift cards are a different value proposition due to the activation fees, but if you can refill 14+ gallons, you’ll be coming out ahead.

These digital coupons are usually available at most of Kroger’s affiliate stores including Harris Teeter, Ralphs, Fred Meyer and more. Having said that, I’m not seeing them as being available at Harris Teeter right now, although they might get loaded just before the weekend seeing as the promotion doesn’t start until then. Keep an eye out on your e-VIC account in the coming days if Harris Teeter is your local store.
