Kroger has a couple of new digital coupons offering 4x fuel points on all third party gift cards, as well as non-variable load Visa and Mastercard gift cards. Note that this deal is only valid this coming weekend from February 1 to February 3.

These 4x digital coupons from Kroger come around fairly often, with these two only being valid for three days over this weekend.
With this offer, buying $250 of gift cards will earn you 1,000 fuel points. 1,000 fuel points are worth $1 off per gallon with a limit of 35 gallons per fill up. That means you can save up to $35 on gas for every $250 you spend on gift cards which is a 14% discount if you can fill up the maximum amount.
As always, pay with a credit card that offers a bonus at grocery stores like the Amex Gold card which offers 4x Membership Rewards, Discover It for 5% in the current quarter, etc.

Are there any data points about any concerns of rat team looking at Amex Gold 4X grocery spending on Visa or MC gift cards ( after min spend has been completed, of course.)
I’ve not heard any reports of the RAT team going after grocery store gift card purchases outside of minimum spend.
How about using Hilton Ascend, does Fred Meyer code as grocery?If not go to QFC……I always stock up on ARCO gas gift cards every 4x event, which may seem counter intuitive. But when using ARCO gift cards at the station you not only get the cash price discount, build fuel points at Freddy’s and and get 6x Hilton points. Mike Drop!
