Quick Thoughts

I personally never take advantage of these offers as our car doesn’t have a large enough gas tank to make it worthwhile. If you can fill up 15+ gallons at a time though, you’ll come out ahead.

I think the $100 Visa and Mastercard gift cards come with a $5.95 fee. If that’s the case, buying one of those cards would earn you 424 fuel points which is worth 42c off per gallon on up to 35 gallons. Filling up with 15 gallons will save you $6.30, thereby offsetting the activation fee for the gift card. If you can fill up to the 35 gallon limit, you’d be saving $14.70 making this an even better deal.

As always, pay for the gift cards with a credit card that earns a bonus at grocery stores.
