Quick Thoughts

This is always a popular deal at Meijer as it’s effectively giving you 10% back when buying most gift card brands. Amazon is the most notable exclusion, but other high-value gift card brands like Best Buy, eBay, Home Depot and more are all eligible for this offer.

There are a few things that are worth knowing about how this type of deal works. First, it’s a rewards offer which means your Meijer mPerks account is already registered for the offer – there’s no digital coupon you need to load.

Second, it’s a reward rather than an instant discount. That means you’ll pay full price for the gift card, with Meijer then loading $5 rewards to your account depending on how much you spent.

Third, there’s a limit of 10 which means you can buy $500 worth of gift cards to get up to $50 in rewards. You don’t have to buy 10 separate $50 gift cards though – you can buy one $500 gift card if you like and you’ll still get the full $50 in rewards.

Fourth, the rewards are loaded to your account within a couple of hours of your gift card purchase. They sometimes get loaded more quickly, but Meijer will send you an email once they’re available. If you’re planning a big grocery shop, buy the gift card(s) when you first arrive, then amble around the store and the rewards will hopefully be ready by the time you come to check out.

Fifth, any partially redeemed rewards go to waste. If you’re spending $23.21, it’s best to only use four of the rewards because if you use a fifth reward then you’ll be losing out on $1.79 of its value.

Finally, the rewards expire after a couple of weeks or so, so be sure to redeem them within that time.

These deals were more popular when they included VGCs. Anyone see mperks show up unofficially from the past promotions when buying VGCs?

My location started carrying Apple gc’s (not iTunes). I wonder if those would slip past the exclusions.

Jeff

Maybe posting a screenshot will help? I am thinking it is not viewable from certain locations.

Jeff

I am on a 27″ monitor, I still do not see it. This is what I see. 1) “mPerks rewards” that states “$6 off your next shopping trip after you spend $300” then 2) “pharmacy rewards” then 3) “credit card rewards” with “get $10 off when you spend $750”

Jeff

That is probably what the issue is, I am not signed in, as i do not have an account. I did not realize you had to sign in to see the offer. I tried to sign up for an account, but it says no stores are found within 50 miles of my zip code. Oh well :/ Thank you anyway.

Jeff

I click on the offer, but I do not see the offer anymore. Is it dead?
