Doctor of Credit posted yesterday about an interesting opportunity to stack an offer from TopCashBack with a current Amex offer in order to get a 6-pack of wine nearly for free. Unfortunately, the 6-pack referenced there is now sold out, but you can still create your own 6-pack (or create your own combo with some more expensive bottles) and get several bottles nearly for free or at a substantial discount still via this stack. If you’re in the market for some inexpensive wine, this might be a good deal (though I wouldn’t expect the highest quality for a net $1.94).

The Deal

  • Stack an offer from Top Cash Back for $25 back on your first offer (along with a coupon for $50 off of 6 bottles) with a current Amex Offer for $25 back on $50+ to get 6 bottles of wine for a net cost of around $2
  • Direct link to sign up Top Cash Back if you’re new

Key Terms

  • The $50 coupon requires an order of 6 bottles
  • Amex Offer expires 1/23/19

Quick Thoughts

The 6-pack (which is now sold out in the mixed, red, and white cases) probably included some slightly “better” “more expensive” wines than what you’ll be able to order now, but 6 bottles of wine for less than $2 total still looks solid. I wouldn’t have high expectations for the quality of the wine, but if you’re either not very particular or you just like having a few bottles on hand for gifts, this might be worthwhile.

You’ll need to start at TopCashBack and select the “$50 off your first 6-pack” deal. Assuming you’re new to nakedwines.com, you’ll get $25 back on your first order from TopCashBack.

That’ll bring you to a special 6-pack for $39.99. It has a button to add to the cart, but when I try adding any of those 6-packs to the cart they show up as sold out.

However, you can add six individual bottles of wine and the coupon still applies, as seen here.

From there, you’ll want to check out and pay with a card that has the Naked Wines offer synced. I’ve found this one pretty widely available on most (all?) of my cards.

Keep in mind that alcohol delivery usually requires a signature from someone 21+, so you’ll either need to be home to show ID and sign for the package or you’ll likely have to pick it up at your local UPS/FedEx facility (I’m not sure what service Naked Wines uses for shipping).

I’m sure you can likely find these bottles for less elsewhere before stacking savings, but between Top Cash Back and the Amex Offer, the risk is low here. I haven’t ordered this one yet myself, though I might for those times when going to a gathering and looking to bring something simple for the hosts.
