Dell Amex Offer

Quick Thoughts

Amex, you beauty! These are some pretty generous Amex Offers given the high spend limits, especially the Staples and Lowe’s ones. I’m sure all of us can find something to buy at those two stores which would make these offers profitable. Even better is that the Staples and Lowe’s offers can be used both online and in store and over multiple transactions.

The Exxon Mobil offer is good for getting a 10% discount on fuel, but it’s a shame that one’s limited to transactions at the pump. Speedpass app transactions are included, but I’ve never used the app. If anyone’s more familiar with the app, is it possible to pay for in-store gift card purchases using a credit card that’s linked on the app?

Edit: Per Jamie’s comment below, you can only pay for fuel using the Speedpass app. Exxon Mobil is also offering 10c off per gallon until July 10 which will stack with this Amex Offer.

The Dell offer has less interest to me personally, but it’ll be good for those of you out there who resell Dell products given the $15,000 spend limit.

All four of these offers expire at the end of November, so there’s plenty of time to take advantage of them. Staples has been offering no-fee Visa and Mastercard gift card deals recently, so the Staples Amex Offer would make any future deals of that kind to be profitable in addition to the points / miles you’d earn. An expiry date of November 30 also means it’ll expire after any Black Friday deals

Load these offers to your cards ASAP as enrollment is limited.

I’ve used Speedpass+ before, and it’s only for paying for fuel (you scan the QR code at the pump, and it will authorize the payment through the app). The Amex Offer sounds like it will stack nicely with the current 10cents off per gallon promo on Speedpass+

Leaving on a massive road trip today. This will save me a straight up 10 percent on my gas costs. Awesome.

Also got an interesting FedEx Offer for 25 percent off shipping costs.

Nick: Terms of Staples deal seems to limit purchase of gift cards. Reads as follows: “Not valid for gift cards in bulk purchases.” So, what constitutes a “bulk purchase?” Any idea?

Wondering if it is absolutely necessary to go to “dell.com/amex” for the 10% statement credit or if simply purchasing from “dell.com” is enough. Looking to stack this with shopping portal bonuses. Dell occasionally hits 10-15% on ebates/topcashback etc.

I know Staples sends L3 data to Amex… but does Lowe’s too? I would like to buy some gift cards there to meet min spend.
Thank you.

In your case where you’re trying to meet MSR, best to do it all organic because the rats are watching closely and they may delay posting of your bonus and when the 90 day period has passed, they may tell you that X amount is not eligible for MSR and you have no more time to fix it. The rats have been really busy these days, beware!

[…] There is yet another new Amex Offer out today, this time for Staples.com. I found this offer on cards that earn Membership Rewards points: “Get 2x Membership Rewards points on purchases at Staples.com” — though in really it’s an extra 1x (which does mean 2x on most cards — but it’s worth noting that if your purchase ordinarily qualifies for some other bonus, this offer only adds 1x more). This offer should stack with the Current Amex Offer for 10% back on up to $1K in purchases if your business cards were previously targeted for that offer (See: New 10% Amex Offers: Staples, Lowe’s, Exxon Mobil & Dell (Business Cards Only).
