Presenting at TravelCon II. See you in Vegas? Dallas? Chicago? Newport Beach?

Travel Summary recently announced a new TravelCon to be held November 7th in Las Vegas.  Apparently the prior TravelCon OC was a hit, so they’ve scheduled another one.  In TravelCon OC, I was erroneously listed as a speaker (I was supposed to be listed as tentative).  I wasn’t able to make it to that one.  This time, I will be there and I will give a talk, but I’m not currently listed as a speaker.  It all balances out.

Here’s what Travel Summary had to say about this event:

Like last time, the goal of the program is not only to teach through sessions with speakers informing the audience, but also to encourage attendees to connect with each other to create groups of people to bounce ideas off of. The last time we did this event we stressed the social aspect of this points/miles hobby and we received a ton of positive feedback. We’re planning to do the same here!

It sounds good to me!  Please see the Travel Summary post, over at Travel Codex, for more information.

Other events

In addition to TravelCon II, I’ll be presenting at the following events.  I believe that all events still have at least a few openings at this time.  Click the links provided below for more information about each:

Do you think it will be better than the FTU? I felt most topics at FTU were just repeated over and over again about card bonus points and MS. Best part was the networking though in between the meetings and at lunch.

All out west, eh? They’re always an hour or three behind. Hope they can catch up.

I’ll be at FTU Advanced Dallas and am pretty excited about it!

[…] TravelCon is/was a one-day event for frequent travelers to learn and discuss advanced topics.  Despite its name, TravelCon has focused heavily on manufactured spend techniques (techniques for increasing credit card spend and getting your money back) and only lightly on actual travel.  A similar sounding set of seminars (say that three times fast!), Frequent Traveler University (FTU), often has similar content but is usually more focused on travel.  And, unlike TravelCon, FTU is usually run as a multi-day event starting with a Friday evening reception followed by info sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
