Singapore Airlines is out with its latest list of “spontaneous escapes”. Similar to Flying Blue Promo Awards, this is a monthly list of discounted routes/cabins. The current list is valid for bookings made by April 30, 2019 for flights from May 1 to May 30, 2019 and it includes one option originating from the US: San Francisco to Singapore for 66.5K miles one-way in business class (as opposed to the usual 95K miles required). Since Singapore is an Amex transfer partner, Chase transfer partner, Citi transfer partner, and Capital One transfer partner, it should be easy to put together the miles necessary for an award if this deal suits you.
- Singapore Airlines has published its latest list of “Spontaneous Escapes”. This month’s list includes San Francisco to Singapore on SQ1 for 66.5K miles one-way in business class
- Direct link to this month’s Spontaneous Escapes
- Must book by 4/30/19
- Valid for travel from 5/1/19 to 5/30/19
- Only valid on the routes/cabins specified (e.g. valid from San Francisco to Singapore, but not in the other direction)
First key note: this sale is only valid on the routes/flights/cabins specified. For example, you can book San Francisco to Singapore in business class for 66.5K miles one-way, but that price is only valid in one direction and only on SQ1, which is the flight that stops in Hong Kong en route to Singapore. Unfortunately, the Spontaneous Escapes do not allow a free stopover.
Many other routes are on sale for travel within Asia. See the full list linked under “The Deal” above if you’ll be spending some time in Asia next month as there are some good deals available on intra-Asia travel.
