A new UPS smorgas-portal: Deal or no deal?

In a shipping notification email from UPS this week, I noticed a link advertising “hundreds of ticket deals & offers, updated daily”. Always a sucker for a deal, I clicked through and found that UPS has its own shopping portal of sorts, called UPS My Choice Deals. It’s actually part shopping portal, part OTA, part local deal site, part Entertainment book, part employee purchasing program….a smorgasboard of deal sites rolled into one. I’m not sure whether or…

There is an app, too — but there’s some bad news with that also. On the bright side, Marriott is offering 1,000 bonus points for signing up and using this new program to make a first purchase of $25 or more. More on what it is and where and how…

Bet You Didn’t Know: When Is The Best Shopping Portal Rate Not Really The Best?

By Julian, author of Devil’s Advocate…   Most Frequent Miler readers know that shopping portals are a terrific tool to earn extra cash or miles, especially when booking travel. As Greg the Frequent Miler says, if you were going to buy an item anyway, there’s no reason not to use a portal finder like Cashback Monitor to earn bonus miles or cash back via a shopping portal. The same is certainly true for travel bookings. There are portals that…
