Hyatt expands SLH partnership

Today Hyatt announced that it added an additional 56 Small Luxury Hotels of the World to the list of properties that are part of World of Hyatt. This means that you can now use points to book stays at these properties and earn points and elite credit on paid stays when booking directly through Hyatt. Searching for Hyatt SLH extreme luxury

Last week, One Mile at a Time wrote “AMAZING: Redeem Hyatt Points At $2,350+ Per Night Nicaraguan Private Island.”  This got my attention.  Calala Island is an all-inclusive resort that is part of SLH (Small Luxury Hotels of the World).  SLH, meanwhile, partners with Hyatt on some, but not all of their properties.  Over time, the partnership has  steadily added more and more member hotels (you can find info and an up-to-date list here).  With…

That’s awesome for those who do not have status or a Globalist friend. This…

Biding my Marriott time before returning to Hyatt

Over the past few years, I’ve become a bit of a Hyatt fanboy.  In my opinion, Hyatt is the sweet-spot brand for those in the points & miles game for many reasons: Reasonable award chart Best top-tier elite benefits (free parking, no resort fees, suite upgrades at time of booking, etc.) Points easy to earn indirectly thanks to Chase credit cards that earn 5X, 3X, and 1.5X Ultimate Rewards points per dollar (see: Amassing Ultimate…

(EXPIRED) Easy status with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (Hyatt partner)

Hyatt announced this week that they will have a partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World that will enable you to earn and use Hyatt Points at these properties, though there will be no reciprocal recognition of status. However, American Express cardholders can get free mid-tier status with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which Doctor of Credit reports might even get you a free night for your birthday. The Deal Get free “Inspired” (mid-tier) status with Small…
