Tanger Outlets is offering a Mother’s Day special offer on Tanger gift cards: Download the Tanger App and purchase a Tanger $50 Outlets Gift Card (in-person at Shopper Services) and get a free $10 bonus gift card. While the image below is from an email I received from the Tanger Outlets in Myrtle Beach, you will also find this deal advertised on the Tanger Outlets homepage, so it should be valid at Tanger Outlets locations across the country.

The Deal

Key Terms

  • Valid through May 13th
  • Limit one $10 gidt card per person
  • Not valid on online orders
  • $1.50 activation fee applies (I assume just to the $50 gift card)

Quick Thoughts

This isn’t a deal I’d drive out of the way for, but if you’re passing by a Tanger location and you’re looking for a gift for mom, you could come out a few bucks ahead. I’m not sure whether or not individual stores accept a Tanger gift card to purchase a gift card, but I suspect that they might, which could turn this into a way to save about 14% after figuring in the $1.50 activation fee, which I expect would only apply to the $50 gift card (not the free $10 card). Again, it’s not worth rushing out to buy it, but if you’ll be at Tanger with a family, you could stack together some savings. It doesn’t look like there is a unique code in the app, so while the limit says one per customer I’m not sure how strictly that will be enforced — YMMV.
