There is a targeted promotion out for Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card holders to get 30% back as a statement credit (up to $300) on eligible purchases at participating SPG or Marriott hotels by July 24, 2018. This offer is highly targeted, but if you’re eligible it’s a great deal.

Key Terms

  • Valid until July 24, 2018
  • Only available for targeted members and you must register if targeted

Quick Thoughts

Neither my wife nor I were targeted for this promotion, but if you are it can be a great way to save a hefty chunk on paid stays between now and the end of the promotional period. The terms state you can get a statement credit up to $300, meaning that this should work on up to $1,000 in purchases. While the terms state that “cash equivalents” do not count, I imagine that buying a gift card at the front desk ought to trigger the offer if you’re short of maximizing this one. While that is certainly a great deal, keep in mind that it will be possible to buy Marriott Gift Cards for 20% off this week with Daily Getaways – those who are not targeted for the 30% offer can at least take some solace in that.

Since this is a good year to go for status (See Greg’s recent post: Marriott Platinum Premier 75. Should I go for it? for more on why), this 30% back offer would be a nice way to help defray the cost.
