Most exciting Hyatt premium suites bookable with points in the US

14

Last week we learned that it is now possible to use points to book Hyatt suites online.  This makes it easier than ever before to find the most exciting Hyatt premium suites bookable with points.  For example, I previously pointed out that it’s now possible to book the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque Presidential Suite for only 10,000 points per night:

Booking Hyatt Suite Rewards Online

10K points per night for a 1,556 square foot presidential suite is obviously awesome, but can we find better?  We know from past research that there are amazing Hyatt Premium Suite opportunities worldwide such as the Diplomatic Suite at the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort which offers two bedrooms, three bathrooms, private club, pool, and beach access for 10K points per night.  Or, how about the Hyatt Regency Casablanca where, for 24K points per night, you get two bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a private butler.

Seeking the best Hyatt premium suites in the U.S.A

Hyatt Hotels In the United States
Hyatt hotels in the United States. I didn’t check every single one, but I checked hundreds!

For this post, I decided to scour Hyatt hotels in the United States.  In the future I’ll look more at worldwide opportunities, but for now I’ll look at what’s available within this country.

Hyatt offers premium suites for twice the award price of a standard room.  Each property decides which suites, if any, are labelled as premium suites.  Each property also decides which premium suites are available for points.  Many hotels offer VIP suites which cannot be booked with points.  For this post, I looked only for opportunities to get these great Hyatt premium suites for points.

Hyatt has many hundreds of hotels in the United States.  Even after weeding out the low end brands like Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, I still had to check hundreds of properties to find Hyatt’s premium suites bookable with points.  To make the task a bit more manageable, I searched for premium suite award availability for one specific night in late summer of next year.  I also only considered properties where premium suites were advertised as being 1,000 square feet or larger.

This methodology was far from perfect.  By only looking at one date, I probably missed a number of Hyatt hotels where their best premium suites were already booked for that night.  Also, some hotels don’t allow one-night-only awards, so I would have missed those properties as well.  Also, I expect that some Hyatt House or Hyatt Place hotels may have premium suites, but I didn’t check these.  Still, I found 34 Hyatt hotels that offer 1,000 square foot sized suites for points.  Let’s take a look at the Hyatt premium suites I found most interesting!

Top 5 Most Interesting Hyatt Premium Suites

In order to sort my 34 Hyatt premium suites in a meaningful way, I assigned a completely subjective “coolness factor” to each suite.  This rating took into account things like price (lower is better), size (bigger is better), location (desirable location is better than airport hotel), cool amenities, etc.  The top 5 results are shown here with pictures.  The next section includes the rest.
