FM Mini Review: This card is best for those who can take advantage of the 4th Night Free benefit and/or the best-in-class 3 hour trip delay insurance
The Prestige card is pricey, but it has a nice collection of perks as well as decent category bonuses for spend. The annual $250 air credit makes the card’s annual fee considerably less of a burden for anyone who regularly pays for airfare. And the card’s 4th Night Free benefit (details here) can result in huge savings for those who often have multi-night paid hotel stays.
This is a great card for those who would use the 4th Night Free benefit multiple times per year. Another great use is the card’s 3 hour trip delay insurance. Others may prefer to get the card for just one year (for the signup bonus plus one year of perks) and then downgrade to the no-fee Preferred card (to keep points alive). For those who won’t make much use of the card’s benefits, consider other great travel cards instead, such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card, or Citi ThankYou Premier.
