Welcome to the Frequent Miler Week In Review series. Every Saturday we recap what you might have missed from Frequent Miler during the week. Enjoy!

This Week From Frequent Miler

Amex gift cards: Is the deal done? – The recent changes to portal terms have really taken much of the value out of this deal.

470,000 points after $48K spend – A recent round of applications will net a huge sum of points, but will also require a healthy amount of spend as well!

Yes, shared ThankYou points can be transferred to miles – About ThankYou points transfers and how they can possibly be used for a higher value when transferred to someone else’s account.

My wife scored another 70,000 points. I got a rock. – Two more great retention offers from Citi on ThankYou cards.

Sears nixes portal rewards on gift cards. There may be hope yet. – Sears has changed the terms on many portals to exclude gift cards, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the end.

Have a great evening!

Haven’t had a “Congratulations, your extra Cashback Bonus is on the way” email since Oct 9th.
The statement that closed on Oct was supposed to get over $1000 (Adding up the cashback notification email in that statement period) in cashback but ended up being $35.xx. Looks like Discover changed their terms. My Sep statement cashback was over $1000 as well.
