Chase Has Increased the Bonus on the Ink Plus Business Card!

chase ink plus bonus

Chase has temporarily increased the bonus on their Chase Ink Plus business credit card. This offer is available directly on the Chase Ink site and is not an affiliate link.

Here is the difference between the normal offer and the new increased offer:

Standard Offer

  • 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5k during the first 3 months.
  • $95 annual fee waived the first year.

New Increased Offer (Ends 3/1/15)

  • 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5k during the first 3 months.
  • $95 annual fee NOT waived the first year.

According to this Flyertalk thread (found via View from the Wing), you may be able to get the annual fee waived the first year if you apply for the card in a Chase branch. Unfortunately that has yet to be confirmed, but it may be worth a shot if you have a branch nearby.

  1. This is the increased bonus I have been waiting for for 2015 to jump in on Chase Ink Plus. The only thing is that I got the Chase Freedom in mid-December. Would 2 months be enough time between Chase apps, or does it even matter?

    • Two months is technically enough time between Chase apps. Of course your approval will depend on a number of factors.

I personally have been approved for more than one Chase card within a two months period.

  2. I recently got the Chase Ink Plus and am still completing the required spend. Do you think there is any chance I could get the 60000 points?

    • You can send them a secure message to see if they will match. Since that offer waived the annual fee and this one doesn’t, they may not match or may tell you that you have to pay the annual fee.

      • They split the difference between both offers in my experience (past). I think this was because I wanted to retain the waived first year.

  3. Are the churning rules for the Chase business cards the same as for personal? I got the Ink Plus in June 2013 and cancelled it a year later. Do I need to wait until this June/July?

    • Yes the business application contains the same terms as the personal app. “This new cardmember bonus offer is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this business credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this business credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this business credit card within the last 24 months. “

  4. I was able to take advantage of this a few months ago and now have 62,000 Chase UR points.

I see on my Amazon account that this is also equivalent to $620 worth of spending on the Amazon site.

I am a complete noobie to all of this, but have to think that 60K miles will get me flight rewards worth quite a bit more than $620 – or am I way off on this?

    Thanks

    • They are worth $.01 each or $620 if redeemed for cash. (Same as Amazon value.) If you book travel through the Ultimate Rewards website then you get a $.0125 valuation which would mean your points are worth $775. You can get a much higher value by transferring to their partners such as United & Hyatt. It depends on your particular needs.

With that said, redeeming for $.01 at Amazon or for cash is almost never the best value for Ultimate Rewards points.
