10K+ Membership Rewards with each of these new offers

There are some strong new Amex Offers this morning and over the past couple of days — including a couple for 10,000 points after spending $500. Some of these may be targeted, and the Membership Rewards offers would only appear under cards that earn Membership Rewards (though there may also be cash back versions of some of them). Also, keep an eye on your account — I did not have the Dell offer when I posted it last week, but it appeared under two of my accounts earlier this week.

Steamboat Ski Resort: Spend $500, get 10,000 points

Unlike yesterday’s offer for Aspen Snowmass, this offer looks like it can be used for room charges as well as lift tickets, rentals, lessons, etc. It’s about a 3-hour drive between Aspen Snowmass and Steamboat for those contemplating a trip to both.

The James New York NoMad: Spend $500, get 10,000 points

This offer showed up on our Business Platinum cards (both mine and my wife’s). I assume it is likely targeted — we’ve been in New York City several times this year and I’ve used my card to hold some other tentative reservations (I’d usually change the payment card at check-in). Note that The James appears to have two locations and this offer clearly says the NoMad location.

Wynn & Encore Las Vegas: Spend $500, get $100

If you’re looking to wynn big in Las Vegas, this offer looks like a wynner. All jokes aside, this offer could be very attractive. Wynn is available via Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts if you have an Amex Platinum card. While the offer terms state that your reservation has to be made at wynnlasvegas.com, my past experience with similar offers has been that Fine Hotels & Resorts bookings usually trigger the offer. Unlike when you book through Expedia or Priceline, FHR bookings are charged directly by the hotel, which will probably trigger the offer. The FHR benefits for the Wynn are a room upgrade based on availability (see this Flyertalk thread for info as to which category to book if you want to be upgraded to a specific kind of suite), free breakfast for 2 daily, guaranteed 4pm late checkout, and a $100 spa credit. I’ve seen Wynn rates in the $150/nt range at times through FHR (usually during this time of year), so you could potentially do a 2-night stay with breakfast two mornings, a $100 spa credit, and $100 towards dinner or something else — a decent value for Wynn. Also note that the terms state a number of food & beverage establishments are included, so you could also use this offer on dinner with a group. The night clubs and show tickets appear to be excluded. See the terms for more details.

SPG: Spend $300, get $60 Back

This offer was found on all of our Amex cards. Note that it is only valid at SPG properties in the US and US territories and it excludes all Marriott properties. Still, a 20% discount stacked on top of whatever special rate you are able to book is a welcome savings on an SPG stay — this is especially nice if you were targeted for the double elite credit this quarter and you have planned SPG stays.

Bottom line

Amex Offers keep a number of their cards in my pocket year after year. It’s nice to see strong offers continue to pick up steam as we head into the holiday shopping season. Did you receive any other interesting offers lately? Let us know in the comments.
