Following on from the recent Hyatt suites award sale, IHG seem to be getting in on the act.
Extreme Hotel Deals has found more than a dozen IHG hotels offering suites and upgraded rooms that are bookable using the standard number of points.
If you’re a Liverpool fan and want to watch their Champions League game against Porto in March, the Crowne Plaza John Lennon Airport has a 1 King Bed Executive room – which includes lounge access – available for just 20,000 IHG Rewards Club points per night.
If your loved one wants to visit France for Valentine’s Day, the Crowne Plaza Toulouse has a King Bed Executive Room – with club lounge access – available for 30,000 points.
For anyone wanting to travel domestically, there are several US hotels on the list. This includes the Holiday Inn Club Vacations At Orange Lake Resort. There you can book a 2 bedroom villa with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds and a sofa bed for just 35,000 points.
As mentioned earlier, Extreme Hotel Deals has the full list of hotels they’ve found with suites and upgraded rooms that can be booked at the standard point rate.
Another hotel on their list is the Kirkton Park Hotel in the Hunter Valley, Australia. We visited the Hunter Valley last month for a wine tour as they have more than 200 small wineries. If you can find upgraded award availability at the Kirkton Park Hotel (I couldn’t find any on several dates), that could be a great place to stay.
