Hyatt is offering some members a targeted fast-track offer to get temporary Explorist status for 90 days with paths for status through February 2021: complete 10 nights in 90 days to maintain Explorist status or complete 20 nights in 90 days to receive Globalist status. This is surely highly targeted (most likely for people who work for certain companies), but the nice thing is that the email indicates that you need to register by November 29, 2019…

10x United or AA miles for Marriott bookings

Earlier this morning, we posted about the latest Amex Offer, good for $40 back on $200 or more at Marriott Bonvoy properties (note that offer is only valid at properties in the US / US territories). Just such a payout is possible today via either the American Airlines eShopping portal or the United MileagePlus Shopping portal as both portals are currently offering 10x miles for…

Update: Up to 35% transfer bonus to Aeroplan from hotels (some targeted for a bigger bonus)

Update: Some people are receiving targeted offers for a 35% transfer bonus, so check your email to see if you are targeted for a better offer. The subject line is, “[Name], get an exclusive 35% bonus”. Aeroplan is offering a 30% transfer bonus when you convert hotel points to Aeroplan miles. This includes most of the popular hotel partners, though it probably only makes sense with Marriott. Radisson and Coast Rewards are offering additional bonuses, but the ratio is still…

Singapore Airlines has announced a devaluation to the KrisFlyer award chart for Star Alliance partner awards effective for bookings made from April 16, 2019 onward. In other words, you can book at the old rates between now and April 15th (even for travel beyond that date), but new bookings made 4/16 and thereafter are going up in price. Awards for business class travel on United to Hawaii, long a sweet spot in the chart, become…

Hyatt has announced that World of Hyatt members can now make an advance reservation for early check-in or late check-out at Hyatt Place properties. This will come at a fee for those without hotel status, but those with status will have some fee-free options to reserve this. While part of this disappoints me (see below), this is probably a net win for members. How it works I believe this is already live. If you make a reservation…
