Quick Thoughts

Ibotta is currently running a ‘7 Days Of Deals’ promotion, with a different theme each day – today’s is Travel Tuesday. The link above displays the rates for Choice, Extended Stay America and VRBO, but the email I received from them also listed IHG at 9%. Their recent deals for Choice and IHG had a targeted element, so I suspect the 9% rate for IHG is targeted too.

If you weren’t targeted for a 9% cashback rate for IHG, Ebates/Rakuten is offering 8% for Holiday Inn reservations. That higher rate isn’t listed as being available for most of their other brands, although in the past I’ve clicked through to one of their brands offering a higher rate (e.g. Holiday Inn), booked a stay at one of their other brands (e.g. Candlewood Suites) yet still earned the higher rate. It’s been a few years since I last did that as usually rates are uniform for all their brands on any given cashback site, but this method hopefully still works when their brands are listed at different rates.

Ebates/Rakuten is also offering 10% cashback for Marriott Bonvoy properties today, so that’ll stack nicely with the new Amex Offer that Nick covered yesterday.

If you’re new to Ibotta, feel free to sign up with one of our referrals with our thanks:
